Richard A. Penington, Chief Executive Officer and President

Richard PenningtonPrior to founding Summit Health, Inc., Mr. Penington was vice president of business development for Interim Healthcare, the nation’s largest combined provider of home health care and medical staffing. Prior to Interim, Mr. Penington was president of Interactive Health Solutions where he developed the employer-based health screening and immunization model. Before Interactive Health Solutions, Mr. Penington served as senior VP of sales & marketing at Nematron Corporation. Mr. Penington has taken a technology company public and has experience in management and technology consulting with IBM and Accenture. Mr. Penington earned BS and MS degrees in industrial engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Douglas C. Finch, Chief Operating Officer

Douglas FinchPrior to Summit Health, Inc., Mr. Finch was VP of business development for Interactive Health Solutions. Mr. Finch has also served as president of fuel cell developer EnCel LLC, president of automotive component manufacturer Plastigage Corporation, and performed mergers and acquisitions with the Japanese trading company Itochu International. Mr. Finch earned BS and MS degrees in aeronautical engineering from MIT and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Mr. Finch serves on the Board of Trustees of Allegiance Health System in Michigan.

Tracey Brady, National Account Executive

Tracey BradyMs. Brady is Summit Health’s senior national account executive. She has five years of career experience in a health and wellness capacity, and seven years of business management experience with project management principles and strategies. Ms. Brady joined Summit Health in 2006 as a program manager implementing wellness and flu programs for Summit Health’s strategic client base. After successful project management of 1,300 events in 2006 and 1,700 in 2007, she was promoted to national account executive in 2008. In 2008 Ms. Brady had oversight responsibilities for 20,000 flu clinics nationwide, was responsible for immunization program development, implementation procedures, event execution, and management of Summit Health’s immunization account management team. Prior to joining Summit Health Ms. Brady was sales manager for LA Weight Loss Centers® in Dearborn, Michigan. During her tenure at LA Weight Loss she was responsible for client retention, growth and increasing supplemental product sales. Prior to joining LA Weight Loss Centers®, Ms. Brady worked at LA Fitness International, LLC in Canton, Michigan as a corporate sales representative. In the capacity of corporate sales representative, Ms. Brady presented and sold corporate health club memberships as a disease management vehicle and employee benefit enhancement.

Roxanne M. Dziuban, MSA, MT (ASCP), Director of Regulatory Affairs

RoxannePrior to joining Summit Health, Inc., Ms. Dziuban was the assistant laboratory manager for a Michigan-based network of HCL laboratories owned by St. John Health System, and held numerous progressively responsible management positions throughout her tenure there, including operations and support services manager. Ms. Dziuban continues to serve as the director of laboratory services and director of laboratory information systems for three oncology laboratories at Newland Medical Associates, P.C. Ms. Dziuban is an experienced health care administrator and a continuing quality improvement expert with a proven record of regulatory compliance and operations management specializing in the areas of process re-engineering, restructuring underperforming programs, program management, information system enhancements, and production and performance excellence. Ms. Dziuban earned a BS in clinical laboratory science from Michigan State University, an MS in administration with a focus in health care from Central Michigan University, and a Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate from the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). Ms. Dziuban is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Derek Kren, Vice President

Derek KrenMr. Kren has more than 15 years of experience developing, managing, and evaluating behavioral healthcare and preventive medicine programs. Prior to joining Summit Health, Inc., Mr. Kren served as director of behavioral healthcare at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, and has helped numerous managed care companies, corporations, schools, and military organizations implement health and wellness programs. He directs many of Summit Health’s daily operations and manages strategic accounts. A former U.S. Air Force officer, Mr. Kren earned his BA degree in psychology from Asbury College and MA degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Additionally, Mr. Kren has completed coursework leading to a PhD in clinical psychology with emphases on organizational development and behavioral medicine from Central Michigan University.

Hina Vaidya, Vice President

Hina VaidyaAs Vice President, Business Development & Marketing, Hina Vaidya designs and consults on corporate health, wellness and business strategies incorporating communication and change management focused on a culture that induces engagement to modify behaviors and better care processes to improve healthcare, reduce costs and improve performance and productivity. With over 27 years of healthcare management experience, Hina has held a range of senior management positions both nationally and internationally. She is a co-founder and former Principal of Empowering LLC where she pioneered corporate health and productivity strategies for businesses ranging from 200 to over 50,000 members. At the UK National Health Service, Hina collaborated with the DOH Health Policy Development Team on healthcare management, and led initiatives in healthcare disparity, outreach and workforce development. Hina’s 22 years of UK National Health Service experience, includes 17 years in Podiatric Medicine after graduating from University College London Hospital in 1982. Hina also holds a master's degree in Interprofessional Healthcare and Organizational Development from Middlesex University, London, qualifications in Executive Leadership from INSEAD Business School, France and Health Promotion from Luton University, London. Hina has been a frequent presenter in national and local healthcare conferences across the US, UK and EU communities.

Michelle Reppen, Director of HR and Staff Development

MichelleMs. Reppen is Summit Health’s Director Human Resources and Staff Development. She has 18 years in Human Resources management, both strategic and operational expertise, specializing in talent management and development, organizational development and effectiveness, mergers and acquisitions, strategic business planning, training and development, general employment law and employee relations. Prior to joining Summit Health, Ms. Reppen provided strategic and operational HR support to a client base of over 600 employees at the Hanover Group/Citizens Insurance company. Previously Ms. Reppen served with a multi-national fortune 500 Professional Services firm, an international publishing firm and technology companies in both a strategic and operational HR management role and business development director. She has earned numerous certifications and completed advanced training programs in Myers Briggs, project and product management, and employment law and ethics. Ms. Reppen’s training includes emergency medical technician, first aid and CPR instructor. Ms. Reppen earned a BS degree in Pre-Law (Concentration in Political Science, Criminal Justice & Psychology) from Purdue University.

Geri Seal, Regional Vice President

GeriMs. Seal joined Summit Health in 2007 and has been the project manager for implementing and delivering a successful health screening program with the State of Kansas. Prior to joining Summit Health, Ms. Seal was the health and productivity specialist at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in Plano, Texas. Ms. Seal worked on the strategy, implementation, and delivery of a comprehensive health promotion and disease management program. Prior to that, Ms. Seal spent three years as the health promotion coordinator for Union Pacific Railroad under MediFit. Ms. Seal has a bachelor’s degree in worksite wellness from Black Hills State University, Spearfish, SD, and an associate’s degree in nutrition from Delgado Community College, New Orleans, LA. Ms. Seal is a registered dietetic technician with the American Dietetic Association, certified health fitness instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine, and she holds certifications with ACE and AFAA. Ms. Seal also served nine years in the United States Marine Corps.

Sandra Weikel, RN, BS, Regional Vice President

SandraMs. Weikel has more than 25 years of experience with Hooper Holmes, and has held numerous progressively responsible management positions throughout her tenure, including senior vice president of customer service & quality assurance. Ms. Weikel was responsible for the training and oversight of implementation procedures for more than 10,000 examiners, to exceed the highest level of service to their clients. Ms. Weikel was responsible for the oversight of the customer service network, comprised of five regional centers. She was a successful liaison with external and internal clients, IT, sales, and operation groups, developing and implementing quality of service processes throughout the corporation while maintaining awareness of industry standards and legal compliance requirements, and applying that information within the corporation. Ms. Weikel is a registered nurse with a BS in health services/business management.
